In April 2004, pinta Production S.A., located in Courgenay, Switzerland, has acquired the company of Nieuwburg, market leader in the Benelux in the application of thermal, acoustic and fire-resistant insulations for the shipbuilding and yachting industry. Both are part of the pinta elements GmbH, located in Munich, Germany.

Nieuwburg enhances and supports pinta's current offer in the market. Together they are now able to provide insulation solutions for the marine industry out of one hand including R&D, manufacturing and installation services, project management, technical support, acoustic expertise, sound and vibration control and after sales services. All their insulation materials used comply to the CE and MCA standards.
